Man Behind Bars After Fatal Accident

(CORYDON) - Harrison County man is behind bars charged with OWI, after a crash that killed an infant and injured her mother Saturday.

Police say 19-year-old Gregory Puckett collided with a vehicle driven by Rachel Blumenstock, also from Corydon, at the intersection of Hwy 62 and Hidden Valley NE. The crash happened around 5 p.m.

WHAS11 reports that Blumenstock was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries. Her daughter was pronounced dead at the scene.

Puckett was not injured and refused treatment at the scene.

He is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in death, minor consumption and involuntary manslaughter.
