ISP Trooper Entertains Drivers Stuck In Traffic

Last updated on Wednesday, October 29, 2014

(PARKE CO.) - An Indiana State Trooper entertained drivers who are stuck in traffic by showing off his dance moves.

It's not something you see everyday; a police officer cuttin' a rug.

Usually an officers' job can be stressful and dangerous making him or her seem up-tight. But one Indiana State Trooper tries to make a bad situation better for drivers.

Some might stare; others might laugh but most find Indiana State Police Master Trooper DuJuan Presely-McFadden entertaining, he's often called the "Dancin' Trooper."

Grooving with traffic, making people laugh when traffic is at a stand still is what Master Trooper McFadden does.

"I want to give them a different perspective of law enforcement in general not just Indiana State Police but let them know as law enforcement, we have a human side as well and to let them know we can have a good time as well," said McFadden.

When McFadden isn't out writing tickets or keeping the community safe he enjoys waving drivers on or telling them to step on the throttle.

"I might move my foot to say speed up a little bit and go faster and it caught on. So I tried it with another lane and it worked. I said ok that's kind of cool and then people started laughing so that was cool. So then I tried that," said McFadden.

But McFadden is no amateur; he learned his moves at Jackson State University.

"I was in a marching band from the south. I come from a non-traditional marching band where that's what we traditionally do is dancing, a lot. But nothing professionally, not at all just having fun dancing," said McFadden.

Master Trooper McFadden says through-out his 16 years on the force directing traffic has always been one of his favorite jobs.
