(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis police are investigating the unrelated deaths of two babies on the city’s south side.

Metro police said a 4-month-old and a 1 1/2-year-old both died at Riley Hospital for Children on Sunday.

On Saturday, officers were called to the Berkley Commons apartment complex near Stop 11 Road and Madison Avenue on a report of an unresponsive child.

When officers arrived, they found a woman performing CPR on a 4-month-old baby.

The child died later at Riley Hospital.

On Sunday, officers were called to the 3200 block of Fisher Road in Franklin Township, where a child was reportedly barely responsive.

The girl, who was 1 1/2 years old, was taken to Riley Hospital, where she later died.

Police have released few details about what might have caused either child's death.
