Last updated on Monday, October 27, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Jewelry, comic books, Kindles and iPads - it’s all up for grabs at the Indianapolis International Airport auction on October 30, 2014.

The airport calls it an "astonishing assortment of items," and aviation-related tools and machinery will also be on the auction block.

The auction will take place Thursday, October 30 beginning at 10 a.m. near the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) at 2601 S Hoffman Road, Indianapolis.

Online bidding will also be available, and an inspection of the items will take place on Wednesday, October 29 beginning at 10 a.m. Indianapolis-based Key Auctioneers will conduct the auction on behalf of the Indianapolis Airport Authority.

Among the items up for bid: unclaimed lost and found items including electronics like Kindles and iPads; a Louis Vuitton purse, tools, heavy machinery, computers, work benches, boom lifts, a boring machine, a milling center, pneumatic jacks, fork lifts, and pickup trucks.

The airport holds auctions like this one every other year. But the airport says this year's offerings are "unusually wide-ranging, particularly in the selection of tools and equipment that are no longer used by the Indianapolis Airport Authority but still in good condition.
