(VIGO CO). - New details being released in a domestic disturbance turned deadly.
WTHI warns some of the details in this case are very graphic.
It was in the early morning hours on Sunday that a couple was found dead inside their eastern Vigo County home.
According to WTHI's Lindsey Yates, a tragic series of events took place here at 4025 North Creal Street, in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
Sources confirm that the couple was married on Saturday less than 24 hours before both were found dead.
The 911 recording depicts the events that unraveled inside the home in the early morning hours of October 5th.
Dispatch: "911 what's the address of your emergency?"
Kelly: "4205 North Creal. Please.
Dispatch: What's the address?"
Kelly: "4205 North Creal."
Dispatch: "Ok what's going on there?"
Kelly: "He's beating the s*** out of me."
Dispatch: "Who is?"
Kelly: "My husband."
Dispatch: Who's your husband?"
Kelly: "Scott Samson. He's got guns inside.
Call ends.
It was around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday Kelly Ecker Samson dialed 911 franticly claiming that her husband threatened to kill her.
"The phone call went dead in a short amount of time. Dispatchers immediately dispatched deputies to the scene," said Chief Deputy Clark Cottom, with the Vigo County Sheriff's Office.
Dispatch tried to re-connect the call, but minute's later Kelly calls back.
Kelly: "Help!"
Dispatch: "What's the address of your emergency?"
Kelly: "4205 North Creal."
Dispatch: "Ok 4205..."
Kelly Interrupts...
Kelly: "Oh my God!"
(Multiple shots fired)
Call ends.
When the sheriff's deputies arrived they would find Kelly dead.
Coroner Dr. Susan Amos tells News 10 she died as a result of gunshot wounds to the chest and neck.
"Deputies did find the female victim inside the child's bedroom deceased," said Cottom.
An elderly couple and Kelly's ten year old son were safely removed from the house without any injuries.
"We received information from the elderly male that the female's husband, George Scott Samson M.D., had retreated to the basement," said Cottom.
Samson had locked himself in the basement with guns and multiple rounds of ammunition.
The Terre Haute Police Department Special Response team was called in to the scene.
"The remote camera was able to determine he was in the basement, unresponsive," said Cottom.
Samson died of a single gunshot wound to the head, just hours after he and Kelly exchanged wedding vows, the reception tent still in the front yard.
"They were having some domestic problems at the house. Within a short amount of time guests decided it would be best if they left. Shortly after the last guest left that's when things went terribly wrong," said Cottom.
The Sheriff's Office is currently taking inventory of Samson's gun collection.
He is registered as a federal license dealer.
George Samson is listed as a doctor at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. The hospital had no comment on the incident
