(INDIANAPOLIS) - Butler University announced on Thursday that men’s basketball coach Brandon Miller will be taking a leave of absence.
Director of Athletics Barry Collier said Coach Miller requested the leave for medical reasons, which the university granted.
Chris Holtmann has been appointed interim head coach, a release said. Holtmann was an assistant coach last year after serving three seasons as head coach at Gardner-Webb University.
The university would not elaborate on details of Coach Miller's leave for medical reasons and asked that his privacy be respected.
