Last updated on Thursday, October 23, 2014

(UNDATED) - BMV officials have released an informational video about a new law that will soon go into effect concerning motor driven cycles.

The new law begins January 1st and will require the state to register the cycles, and it requires the cycle riders to display license plates and creates two classes of motor driven cycles. The mopeds or motorized bicycles will be divided into MDC-A or MDC-B, depending on the size of the engine.

The informational video outlines what documents are needed at the BMV to properly register and what endorsements are needed to operate the MDC's. The video can be found at in.gov/bmv.
