(INDIANAPOLIS) - A former Indianapolis woman has been sentenced to prison for stealing Veterans Affairs money from her late mother.
59-year-old Rhonda Reddy was sentenced to 5 months in prison. She held a joint bank account with her mother who received VA benefits from her late husband.
Reddy did not notify the VA about the death of her mother in 2007. Investigators say she took more than $90,000. She must also serve two years of supervised release after her prison sentence.
