Last updated on Thursday, September 18, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two people were arrested Wednesday morning after an armed bank robbery at a PNC Bank branch.

Indianapolis police said the men robbed the bank in the 4500 block of East 10th Street at gunpoint.

After a witness called 911 to report the robbery, a nearby officer spotted the suspects' vehicle and began following it.

A chase ended at a dead end in the 1900 block of North Dequincy Street.

Investigators said the suspects ran from the scene but were caught thanks to the assistance of a police K-9.

Police were able to recover the money stolen from the bank and a silver revolver used in the robbery.

No one was hurt.

Investigators are determining whether the case will be turned over the federal authorities.
