Students Injured In School Bus Crash

Last updated on Tuesday, September 16, 2014

(CORYDON) - A school bus crash Monday in southern Indiana sent 31 high school students to the hospital.

The bus, which was being driven by Hammond Baptist High School's principal, was among four headed to a school retreat at Indiana Creek Camp.

Officials say the bus was traveling on a "very narrow, two-lane road," when the front tire went off the pavement and rolled onto its side and into a ditch near Corydon.

None of the injuries were considered life-threatening. Six adults also were aboard the bus and were not injured.
