(WEST LAFAYETTE) - A Purdue student is accused of trying to strangle another student at a bus stop.
The victim says she didn't know the man who attacked and tried to kill her with a cord. Police arrested Boda Wu, 21. Wu is currently enrolled as a student at Purdue.
The attack, which is believed to be random, occurred in the central part of the campus. Court documents say Boda Wu tried to strangle the woman with a phone cord and then got on top of her and tried to strangle her.
Passersby helped restrain him until officers got to the scene.
