(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis police say they plan no additional searches for a missing infant whose father told officers a couple knocked him out and abducted the 6-week-old.
Police on Friday drained an old underground tank in a wooded area in Indianapolis near where a 6-week-old boy disappeared two days before.
Sgt. Kendale Adams says that additional searches will only be conducted for Delano Wilson if there's a significant tip or development in the case.
Dozens of police officers search without success Friday for the boy in a wooded area near the White River that included draining and searching an old underground cistern.
Delano Wilson's family will spend Sunday afternoon searching for the missing 6-week-old.
The family has also announced a $10,000 reward for anyone who has information that leads to the safe return of baby Delano.
Willie Wilson, Delano's father, reported his child missing on Wednesday. He claims that he was pistol whipped by a white male and Hispanic woman, knocked him unconscious in an alley and abducted his Delano.The two people drove away in a blue Ford Taurus.
An Amber Alert for the infant was issued Wednesday and canceled Friday because police said it was no longer effective in bringing in leads in the case.
