Last updated on Tuesday, September 30, 2014

(LOUISVILLE) - Authorities are searching for a suspect after a shooting at a high school in Kentucky left one student injured, a spokeswoman said.

The shooting took place Tuesday afternoon at Fern Creek High School in Louisville. It was not immediately clear whether it happened inside or outside the school.

One student was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries, said Jody Duncan, a spokeswoman for EMA-MetroSafe. She said that at least one suspect was being sought.

"We do have reports that it's a male, about 6-foot-5, wearing a gray hoodie, black pants with a gray stripe, and about 15-16 years old," she said. "We're not sure if he is a student at Fern Creek High School, but we do know that he's a younger individual."
