Murder Suspect Arrested At Rest Stop

(BOONE CO.) - An Indiana State Police trooper located a murder suspect from Hammond Ind. on Sunday morning at a rest park.

The murder suspect was reported to be traveling south on I-65 in the Lafayette area according to a release.

The trooper pulled into the rest park at the 149 mile marker near State Road 47 and located a vehicle that matched the suspects.

After verifying that the Chevrolet Lumina matched the description the trooper called for assistance.

38-year-old Jimmie Earl Jacobs Jr. was arrested and transported to the Hammond Police Department.
