ISP Looking For Tips In Switzerland County Thefts And Burglaries

Last updated on Thursday, September 25, 2014

(SWITZERLAND CO.) - Indiana State Police are investigating several thefts and burglaries that happened over the last week or so in the Five Point area in western Switzerland County.

On September 20 the Switzerland County Sheriff's Department investigated the theft of a car and a pickup truck on Little Doe Run.

The car was driven into a fire pit and the pickup truck was apparently taken for a joy ride and was left at the end of the driveway but had front end damage.

Later that same day, ISP Master Trooper Patrick Williams investigated a burglary on Vineyard Road.

In that case the suspects attempted to gain entry into a home through a window but were unsuccessful.

M/Tpr. Williams also investigated another burglary on September 22 on Little Doe Run where the suspects did enter the home and stole several items.

Residents in this area of the county are urged to keep their homes and vehicles secure and report any suspicious persons or activity to the state police or sheriff's department.
