Indianapolis Zoo Needs Help Naming Tiger Cub

Last updated on Friday, September 12, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis Zoo needs your help in naming its new tiger cub.

Zookeepers have preselected three names for fans to vote on: Chudo (pronounced CHEW-da), meaning "miracle"; Shoomka (pronounced SHUM-ka), meaning "noisy" and Zoya (pronounced ZOY-a), meaning "life".

The poll will be open for two weeks, from today through Friday, September 26.

The chosen name will be announced later this month along with additional details on when Zoo guests can view the cub for the first time.
