(CAMPBELLSVILLE) - A Campbellsville firefighter who was injured assisting with an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge event last month has been released from the hospital.
Eric Johnson, a spokesperson with Supporting Heroes, confirmed that Alex Quinn was released on Tuesday.
Quinn and a fellow firefighter, Captain Tony Grider, were in the bucket of a fire truck that had been spraying Campbellsville University students who were taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.
At some point during the proceedings, Quinn and Grider suffered burns from an apparent electrical arc from a power line. Both were taken to Taylor Regional Hospital and later flown to the University of Louisville's Medical Center Burn Unit.
Quinn has since been released. Grider is still in critical condition.
