(SWITZERLAND COUNTY) - It was a heartbreaking evening in Switzerland County.
Conservation officers say six-year-old Alex Scudder was riding a 4-wheeler alone when he attempted to cross the road and was hit by an oncoming truck.
Scudder was pronounced dead at the scene.
