(GARY) - Authorities say a boy out fishing found a man’s body in a northwestern Indiana pond.
The Lake County coroner's office identified the man as 40-year-old Anthony Morales of Gary but said the cause of his death wasn't immediately determined.
The Times of Munster reports the boy told Lake County sheriff's officers he was fishing at a pond in an unincorporated area just outside Gary when he spotted something under the water. After he saw that it was a body, he ran and told his mother.
People who had been swimming and fishing in the area a day earlier told investigators they didn't see the body Saturday.
