(INDIANAPOLIS) - A driver on Interstate 465 survived a scary incident when a tire crashed through her windshield Tuesday.
The woman was driving north on I-465 at Rockville Road around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when the tire and wheel came off a car that was merging onto southbound I-465. The tire smashed the windshield and roof of the woman's car.
She was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, a red Chevy sedan, fled the scene on foot.
