(UNDATED) - Indiana Conservation Officers have arrested three men for aggravated battery and aggravated robbery on the Whitewater River on Friday at approximately 4 p.m.
Indiana Conservation Officers received a call from Franklin County Dispatch concerning two suspects striking a man with a canoe paddle and holding his head underwater.
Two Officers from Brookville Police Department responded and located a victim in the waterway, suffering from injuries to the face and head.
The victim, 21-year-old Logan S. Binnion, of Spencerville, OH, was transported by ambulance to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, OH.
According to witnesses, the injuries and robbery were caused by three male subjects that were later identified by those witnesses. Officers took those subjects into custody and transported them to the Franklin County Jail on the following charges:
Kyle C. Eaton, 28, New Castle, Aggravated robbery, level 2 felony, Aggravated battery, level 3 felony
Daniel B. Weston Jr., 22, New Castle, Aggravated robbery, level 2 felony, Aggravated battery, level 3 felony
Robert M. Vaughn, 26, New Castle, Aggravated robbery, level 2 felony
