Last updated on Friday, August 22, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police are looking for two men who tried to rob a man at a Westfield gas station early Thursday morning.

Westfield police were called to the Kroger gas station at 17447 Carey Road just before 4 a.m., where a fuel delivery driver said two men tried to rob him.

The victim told police he saw a person crouching behind a wood pile, and when he asked the crouching person what he was doing, two men came out from behind the wood pile and demanded his money.

After a brief struggle, the driver made it into the cab of his truck and called police, while the two men ran from the scene.

Police set up a perimeter and called K-9 officers to aid in the search, but the two men were not found.

Both men were described as black males wearing dark clothing who were about 6 feet tall, 25 to 30 years old and about 230 pounds. One man had long dread-like hair and the other had short hair, police said.

If you have any information regarding this incident please contact the Westfield Police Department's Investigations Division at (317)896-5236.
