Motorcyclist Killed in Early-Morning Crash

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says an as-yet unidentified motorcyclist was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning on the west side.

It appears the crash happened in the 3900 block of Lafayette Road, when the cyclist slammed his motorcycle slammed into a tree.

Police are still investigating the accident, trying to determine what happened. Police did not speculate on whether alcohol, drugs, excessive speed, or the weather were involved.
