(UNDATED) - A Hoosier native infected with Ebola is showing signs of improvement after getting a second dose of an experimental serum.
Dr. Kenneth Brantly is being treated in Atlanta after being flown from Liberia on Saturday.
His infected colleague Nancy Writebol will arrive in Atlanta as early as tomorrow.
The plane that will transport Writebol to the U.S. Arrived at the airport in Monrovia Monday afternoon. The specially-outfitted plan left Georgia Sunday.
When Writebol arrives in Atlanta Tuesday, she'll be rushed to a special unit inside an Atlanta Hospital near the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Kent Brantly is also being treated there. He arrived Saturday.
Doctors say his condition is improving.
He was given an experimental serum before leaving Liberia.
Doctors at Emory Hospital will watch his symptoms and keep him stable until his body can hopefully control the infection.
Doctors say bringing the stricken patients back to the United States was the best course of action.
The Ebola outbreak has taken more than 700 lives in west africa, and experts say it could be up to six-months before it's under control.
