Last updated on Friday, August 1, 2014

(COLUMBUS) - A 2-year-old girl who was pulled from a Columbus pool this week has died, the Marion County Coroner’s Office said Thursday.

Two-year-old Jazzilyn Jenkins was found unresponsive around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in an above-ground, 4-foot swimming pool in the 5100 block of Willa Way.

Jenkins was flown to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health after CPR was performed by family members, neighbors and emergency medical crews.

According to investigators, it was unclear how long Jenkins was in the pool and how she got in. She died at the hospital Thursday morning.

Bartholomew County Sheriff's officers are investigating. The cause and manner of death will not be available until Friday afternoon after an exam.
