Woman Charged After Hitting Jogger

(AUSTIN) - A Southern Indiana woman is behind bars after police said she left the scene of an accident.

Police said 31-year-old Carrie Brough struck a man Thursday afternoon while he was jogging on Booe Road in Austin, Ind.

After hitting the jogger, police said Brough crashed the car she was driving just south of the alleged hit and run, then left that scene by getting a ride with a passing motorist.

Brough was later arrested at a home in Scott County. She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving while suspended.

The jogger sustained non life-threatening injuries and is expected to be OK.
