Last updated on Thursday, July 17, 2014

(DECATUR CO.) - A woman faces battery charges after police said she bit another woman’s face during a fight at the Decatur County 4-H Fair last Friday.

When authorities arrived to the scene, they found the victim, identified as Robin Risk, lying on the ground, complaining of pain to her neck and back. Police also reported Risk had visible injuries to her face.

According to court documents, 42-year-old Charisma Parker told police "it was a full moon" and that "she had been stupid."

Witnesses reported Parker's juvenile daughter approached the victim. They said the victim raised her voice at the suspect's daughter during a verbal altercation. Witnesses said Parker intervened and struck Risk several times in the face and head.

Police questioned Risk the following day. She told police Parker's daughter asked her why she had put her mother's boyfriend in jail, according to the probable cause. Risk said she told the juvenile she did not want to speak with her about it and a confrontation with Parker followed. Risk said Parker bit her face and tried to "rip her skin."

Parker was arrested and booked into jail.
