(GREENFIELD) - Authorities have arrested a woman on charges for the murder of another woman whose body was found in a cornfield in Hancock County last week.

27-year-old Amanda Gonzales faces charges of murder and assisting a criminal in the death of 23-year-old Katrina Miller.

Miller was found dead Thursday in a cornfield near Carroll Road by two boys riding bicycles. The Marion County Coroner's Office says Miller was shot in the head.

According to court documents, Gonzales told a neighbor that she and Miller drove to the cornfield with two men, Joe Meyers and Ronnie Westbrook. She said Meyers made Miller get down on her knees and then shot Miller in the back of the head. The three then went back to the hotel in which they lived on the east side of Indianapolis.

Gonzales said Westbrook was a drug dealer and became angry after some drugs went missing from his room. Westbrook allegedly threatened to kill Gonzales and Miller if the drugs were not returned.

After Miller's was killed, Westbrook found the drugs in his room, court documents said.

The neighbor told police she thought Gonzales took the drugs and hid them because she found Westbrook and Miller in bed together. The neighbor said Gonzales and Westbrook have been a couple since February 2014, according to court documents.

The court documents said Gonzales told another woman she took the drugs with the intent of selling them and, after Miller's murder, told Westbrook she found the drugs while cleaning the hotel room.

Acting on a warrant, police searched the hotel room registered to Joe Meyers and found a .22-caliber handgun and two different types of bullets. While the bullets were not the same caliber as the gun, some of the bullets matched the brand and caliber of a shell casing found next to Miller's body.

Gonzales was arrested Sunday night and is being held without bond. Police have not said whether Meyers or Westbrook are being considered suspects in the case.
