The United States Marshal's Fugitive Task Force Unit apprehended 29-year-old James Bates for the murder of Kenneth Beeler Senior. Bates was arrested for Beehler's murder in 2007, but the charges were dismissed due to evidentiary problems. The case remained unsolved and was transferred to homicide detectives in the Cold Case Unit.
