Parents Raising Construction Awareness After Son Killed On I-69

(UNDATED) - The parents of a construction worker who was killed on Interstate 69 in May are pushing for change.

The family of 24-year-old Coty DeMoss said they are channeling their grief into a project to help others.

DeMoss was working on an I-69 project in Indianapolis. Police said a man driving a pickup truck crashed into DeMoss, and 49-year-old Kenneth Duerson Jr. The construction workers died from their injuries.

The DeMoss family has teamed up with contractors for a motorcycle ride to raise awareness about the importance of driving safely through construction zones. The ride will take place August 3rd.
