One Killed In Motorcycle Accident On I-70 Near I-465 Saturday

(INDIANAPOLIS) - At least one person is dead after a motorcycle accident on I-70 Saturday evening.

The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on a ramp along I-70 eastbound at the 72.4 mile marker near I-465 northbound when a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle hit a guardrail.

According to the preliminary investigation and witness statements, 22-year-old passenger Ashley Drake of Six Lakes, Mich. appeared to adjust her seating, which caused the driver to lose control. She was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

22-year-old Kyle Lovell of Tustin, Michigan was taken to an area hospital for treatment. At last check, he was listed in critical condition.

Both riders were wearing helmets.
