(AUSTIN) - In the evening hours of July 10, the Austin City Police Department and the Scott County Division of Child Services responded to a report of a three year old child that had been allegedly battered by the mother’s boyfriend.
The child has since been evaluated by University of Louisville and Kosair Children's hospitals.
On July 11, ISP was contacted to assist in the investigation. After speaking to the boyfriend, Samuel Tyler Green, 21, the detective placed him under arrest.
Green was incarcerated at the Scott County Jail on the charges of Battery Involving a Child with Serious Bodily Injury, Level Three Felony and Neglect of a Dependant, Level Five Felony.
This investigation is continuing with no further information being released at this time.
