(ROCKVILLE) - A Veedersburg man died after he was pulled from Raccoon Lake Monday afternoon.

Indiana Conservation officers went to the Walker Boat Ramp after receiving a 911 call at 4:57 p.m. about a man in the water.

UICO divers pulled 29-year-old Terry L. Johnson from the water about eight minutes after arriving. He was found submerged in about eight feet of water.

EMTs attempted to resuscitate Johnson and he was taken to St. Vincent Clay Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was performed by Dr. Roland Kohr at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

The incident is under investigation and drugs and alcohol are suspected to be a factor in this incident.
