Jail Employee Arrested After Inappropriate Relationship With Inmate

(JENNINGS CO.) - A Jennings County Jail employee has lost her job and was arrested Monday after an investigation stemming from reports she was having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.

30-year-old Christy A. Ramirez of Commiskey faces charges of sexual misconduct and trafficking with an inmate, both categorized as Level 5 offenses, formerly Class C felonies.

Each of those charges is punishable by one to six years in prison with a state recommended minimum sentence of three years upon conviction.
