(INDIANAPOLIS) - Crews battled fire at a north Indianapolis restaurant.
The fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. at the Shanghai Lil restaurant at 8505 Keystone Crossing. Heavy flames were shooting from the building as firefighters surrounded it.
A passerby noticed smoke coming from around the exterior signage on the building and went inside to notify the occupants.
Firefighters say there were a handful of customers in the restaurant, which was evacuated before smoke filled the building. No injuries are reported.
The interior of the building sustained extensive damage. It is not yet known what caused the fire.
