(TIPTON COUNTY) — A Tipton County Sheriff’s deputy was killed late last night in a single-car crash on County Road 300 West.
Indiana State Police say Deputy Jacob Calvin, who was 31, was driving his squad car at a high rate of speed responding to a personal injury crash on State Road 28.
For an as-yet undetermined reason, the Chevrolet Impala went off the eastside of the road, and rolled multiple times, ejecting Deputy Calvin.
He was rushed by ambulance to IU Tipton Hospital, where we was pronounced dead.
