(UNDATED) - We will soon find out the signature food for this year’s Indiana State Fair.
Five of the Fair's top vendors submitted their foods to a panel of judges, who will make recommendations on each before the public chooses one to represent this year's Fair theme: The Year Of the Coliseum.
The food items were to be "deconstructed" and "reconstructed", as the Coliseum at the Fairgrounds was over the past year.
Among the competitors are the 'Cheeseburger Basket on a Stick' from Barto's Catering and the 'Mac Daddy', which is pulled barbecue turkey hugged by mac and cheese.
Regardless of which one is chosen as the signature food, all five will be available at the State Fair August 1-17.
