(BLACKFORD CO) - Prosecutors Tuesday reached a plea agreement with a retired teacher and current Hartford City councilman charged with child molestation and sexual misconduct.
John Adams was set to go to trial this month, but instead will go before a judge in July to change his plea.
Adams originally pleaded not guilty when police arrested him last year for repeatedly molesting a boy over a number of years.
He retired as an art teacher at Blackford High School in 2005, but was still volunteering with the school's cheerleading squad.
