(UNDATED) - The American Red Cross is trying to avert a summer shortage of blood supplies.
The organization is urging Hoosiers with types O negative, B negative and A negative to donate blood.
They say the Red Cross must collect 15,000 donations every day to meet the needs of some 2,700 hospitals and medical centers across the nation.
