(NOBLESVILLE) - Colts owner Jim Irsay will go on trial just over a week before his team opens the NFL season.
A trial date of Thursday, August 28 was set by the Hamilton County Superior Court after Irsay waived a preliminary hearing on charges stemming from his arrest by Carmel Police the night of March 16.
Irsay faces two counts of driving while impaired on prescription drugs after police found several pill bottles and $29,000 dollars in cash inside his car.
The Colts open their season in Denver 10 days later, Sunday night September 7.
