Deep Rock Tunnel Job Site To Reopen Following Deadly Accident

Last updated on Thursday, June 19, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Citizens Energy Group reports that construction at the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector job site will resume Thursday morning.

This after shutting down work at the site last Friday following the death of William Isaac Simpson. The 25-year-old died of massive traumatic head injuries in an accident there. He was 250 feet below the ground and seven miles into the eight-mile long connector at the time.

Citizens Energy ceased activity at the site out of respect for Simpson's family.
