(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two contract workers for IN-DOT were hit and killed on southbound Interstate 69 in Indianapolis.

The incident was reported just before 6 a.m.

Indiana State Police Sergeant Rich Myers says the workers were at the end of their shift picking up cones when a pick-up truck, driven by 22-year-old Jordan Stafford of Fortville, hit an arrow board and the men behind it.

Stafford suffered minor injuries during the incident.

49-year-old Kenneth Duerson Jr of Indianapolis and 24-year-old Coty Demoss of Noblesville, were employees of contractor Rieth Riley Construction.
