Man Tied Up And Killed In Indianapolis Alley Identified

Last updated on Friday, May 2, 2014

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The man found tied up and shot to death has been identified as 55-year-old Kevin Coughlin.

Coughlin was found April 23 in an alley near West 34th Street. He was dead after being tied up and shot. Officials with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released a sketch of Coughlin hoping someone could identify him. His vehicle was discovered early Thursday morning in the 2500 block of East Brookway Street, which is near East 17th and North Rural streets.

The vehicle was discovered after police pulled someone over. Two people inside the car were taken into custody. It's unclear if they had any role in Coughlin's death.

The vehicle was towed and evidence technicians will do a full bumper to bumper processing of the vehicle, which will likely take several hours.
