Man Arrested After Doing Drugs At Veterinary Clinic

Last updated on Friday, May 2, 2014

(SCOTTSBURG) - Wednesday afternoon, the Indiana State Police assisted the Scottsburg City Police Department with a drug related call at a veterinary clinic just south of the Scottsburg High School in Scottsburg.

Employees of the vet clinic became alarmed and called police when a male, later identified as Bradley Amburgey, 32, of Austin, went into the rest room at the clinic and stayed for what they thought was a lengthy time period. After Bradley Amburgey came out of the rest room an employee of the vet clinic went into the rest room and found an alleged yellow powdery substance on the sink and floor.

When Scottsburg City Police Officer Richie Barton and trooper Tracy Spencer arrived on the scene they spoke to Bradley Amburgey. While speaking to him, trooper Spencer noticed he had a yellow substance on his face area. Bradley Amburgey was found to be in possession of a prescription bottle that did not belong to him. The bottle contained seven yellow tablets identified as hydrocodone, a schedule three controlled substance.

Bradley Amburgey was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, a Class C felony. He was incarcerated at the Scott County Jail.
