(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis doctor has pleaded guilty to distributing painkiller prescriptions after being blocked by the feds.
Dr. Segun Rasaki confessed to dealing and distributing controlled substances.
Last August, numerous pharmacists reported Dr. Rasaki to the Drug Enforcement Administration. The DEA probe revealed Rasaki had prescribed Phenobarbital, Zutripro and Dronabinol to patients after his licenses had been suspended.
His licenses were suspended in 2011 after the DEA's first investigation into his activities. At that time, the Marion County Prosecutors office says Rasaki gave prescriptions to undercover DEA agents based on inadequate physical exams.
He was also convicted in 2012 on charges of sexual battery against two patients. At that time, he got a one-year, executed sentence. He faces sentencing on the latest charges May 27th in Marion County.
