GM Recalls More Than 50,000 SUVs For Faulty Fuel Gauge

Last updated on Monday, May 5, 2014

(UNDATED) - General Motors is recalling more than 50,000 new SUVs because of a fuel gauge problem.

Most of the vehicles involved are 2014 Buick Enclaves.

Other models include the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia.

Federal safety regulators say faulty software may cause readings to be off by as much as a quarter of a tank.

Owners can take their vehicles to GM dealers to have the engine control modules reprogrammed.
