Gas Station Busted For Selling Synthetic Marijuana Will Stay Open

Last updated on Thursday, May 8, 2014

(FRANKLIN) - The owners of a Franklin Gas station busted for selling synthetic marijuana will get to keep their business, but only after paying $80,000 to help fight more drug cases.

Police raided the Phillip's 66 gas station on Jefferson Street in December after undercover officers said they bought the drugs there nearly 30 times.

In a settlement with the prosecutor's office, the store owners will pay legal fees for the case and money to the police department and prosecutor's office for equipment and training for drug prosecutors and investigators.
