Woman Dies After Jumping Out Of Moving Truck

Last updated on Wednesday, April 16, 2014

(CICERO) - A Cicero woman is dead after she reportedly jumped out of her moving pick-up truck, and her husband was arrested because of it.

Brandon Broady was driving himself and his wife, 26-year-old Jessica Broady, Saturday night around 11:30 after a night of drinking and partying. Sources told Eyewitness News the couple started arguing about whether to go home or another party location in downtown Indianapolis to dance.

Brandon told police when they got to Nicole Blvd. in Avon, Jessica jumped out of the moving vehicle. Officers on the scene believe the back wheels then ran over her.

She was taken to Methodist Hospital to be treated for multiple skull and chest trauma, but died from her injuries.

Brandon blew a .11 on a portable breath test for alcohol, according to police, and was jailed for OWI resulting in death. He has since posted bond.

Police believe Jessica's toxicology could show alcohol use as well, but those results have not yet come back.

Officers said even if this incident is declared an accidental run over, that won't eliminate Brandon's charges because he was still driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.

Avon police are in the process of executing search warrants on the couple's pick-up truck and cell phones.

The couple has an 8-month-old baby together.
