Woman Accused Of Stealing From Church Day Care

(CRAWFORDSVILLE) - A Crawfordsville woman was arrested on theft charges after police suspected her stealing from a church day care where she worked.

48-year-old Julie Randles worked as the director of Guiding Light Child Care at First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville where should would allegedly buy groceries for the day care and for herself, detectives said. Day care managers called police after they noticed missing funds.

Investigators said they suspect Randles may have stolen up to $15,000 from the church from Aug. 2013 through Jan. 2014.

The Rev. Isaac Zull said Randles has since resigned her position.

Randles was arrested and released on bond.
