(MONTICELLO) - A White County inmate is on the lam after fleeing while on work release, authorities said.
White County Sheriff's Dept. Chief Deputy A.J. Alletto said the inmate, 31-year-old Robert Clawson, escaped from a work release program at Jordan' Manufacturing Company in Monticello on Monday night.
Clawson was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet, which he cut off, according to Alletto.
Alletto said Clawson is 5'10", 120 pounds with brown hair and eyes and a slender build.
